time is relative to the objects that define it

Per Tempus—Latin for “through time”—is the name I work under as a filmmaker. It reflects my interest in using the camera to observe, document, and preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. The name also speaks to my belief that film is a tool for shaping and recording the experience of time.

I hold onto the idea that time is relative to the objects that define it: a story, a face, a place, a piece of movement or sound. I’m drawn to projects that carry meaning beyond the moment of capture—works that reflect how we remember, how we notice, and how we assign value to the passing of time.

My work under Per Tempus includes both narrative and documentary pieces, often shot in intimate or observational settings across different countries. I focus on strong visual storytelling and adapting my approach based on the subject—whether that means working quietly in natural light or building more structured, stylized images.

Per Tempus isn’t a formal company. It’s simply the name I’ve chosen to group my films and creative projects—a banner for work grounded in time, memory, and lived experience.
